An inside look into Meghan’s jewelry box

Since coming into public consciousness with her leading role in the TV series Suits, Meghan has amassed quite the jewelry collection. Now I am no expert gemologist, but her minimalist approach to her wardrobe also extends to her jewels and is quite unique for the royal sphere. Often times she will leave off a necklace or earrings. Sometimes in the past she hasn’t worn any jewelry at all besides her wedding band stack. Now a days she has a staple stack of Cartier Love bracelets and her gold tank watch that she wears to every appearance.

What kind of jewelry does the Duchess of Sussex prefer? Well, the majority, if not all, of her items are yellow gold. She wears a lot of stackable rings and bracelets. Relitively recently, Meghan has worn more collar-style necklaces, both for formal wear, evening wear, and casual events. As seen at the Invictus Games, The Hauge’s opening speech, The Paley Honors Awards, and the welcoming ceremony during their tour of Nigeria last year.

Beyond her Cartier duds, Meghan loves the jeweler Logan Hollowell, having worn multiple pieces by the brand. Their mission is “to create heirlooms that are imbued with love, intention, and magic. The brand’s designs are inspired by nature, the cosmos, and spiritual symbolism.”

Another frequently worn jeweller by the Duchess is the Canadian label Birks, most of which she owned prior to marrying her husband Prince Harry. A frequent piece is the snowflake snowstorm diamond earrings, which she wore most notably to her wedding rehearsal, the 2020 Commonwealth service, and the platnium jubilee.

A lot of Meghan’s jewelry has personal symbolism to it. She will wear Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s zodiac signs, Prince Harry’s initals, or their birthstones. She doesn’t wear a lot of colored stones beyond that. Her most frequent gems are diamond, emerald, and aquamarine. Having inherited Princess Diana’s stunning aquamarine cocktail ring.

In conclusion, Meghan is proof that investing in certain key pieces can take you far. A staple watch is a must. Along with a cocktail ring, gold hoops, a diamond bracelet, and a choker necklace. It’s a great way to stay modern and not worry about your pieces becoming dated while also following trends.
